How to add your first monitor

Setting up your first monitor is easy and takes less than a minute. Follow these steps to start monitoring your infrastructure.

Step 1: Navigate to Websites

From your dashboard, click on Websites in the sidebar or the "Add Website" button on the main dashboard overview.

Step 2: Enter Website Details

Click the + Add Website button. You will need to provide:

  • Name: A friendly name for your monitor (e.g., "Marketing Site").
  • URL: The full URL you want to monitor (e.g., https://example.com).
  • Check Interval: How often we should check your site (e.g., every 1 minute, 5 minutes).

Step 3: Configure Advanced Settings (Optional)

You can fine-tune your monitor with these settings:

  • Monitoring locations: The number of locations we check from depends on your plan/package settings.
  • Authentication: If your endpoint is protected, you can configure an Authorization header (for example Basic Auth or a Bearer token).
  • Timeout: Set a custom timeout threshold.

Step 4: Save and Activate

Click Create Website. Your monitor is now active! We will immediately perform the first check.

Note: If your plan checks from multiple locations, we confirm downtime across at least two distinct locations before sending an alert. If only one location is configured, alerts are based on that single location.
