SMS Integration

For critical alerts that must reach you even without an internet connection.

Setup

SMS integration requires no external configuration on your part. We use seven.io as our provider.

  1. Create Channel: Select "SMS" as the type.
  2. Enter Number: Enter your mobile number in international format (e.g., +491701234567).

Costs & Limits

  • SMS notifications may be limited depending on your plan.
  • Please use SMS only for critical alerts ("High Priority") to conserve your quota.

Content

SMS messages are kept short and concise (GSM-friendly characters, clipped to fit a single SMS where possible): [DOWN] Wiki (wiki.haupt.design) is unreachable. Error: 503 Service Unavailable.

Website Custom Fields (Optional)

If you configured website custom fields, we may append a short metadata line to make SMS alerts more actionable, for example:

Meta: datacenter=fra1, service=wiki

(We keep this clipped to avoid overly long SMS messages.)
